We started our business back in 1988 in London working from a market stall. Back in those days our repairs were mainly on Seats, bags, belts, leather coats and trousers, riveting and stud work. All the repair work was done at the shop whilst Customer waited!
This is where it all started
Then we moved into a different area. We became heavily involved in the drag racing and hot rod scene. This meant that our work changed from our usual repairs to repairing hot rod seats, head linings and panels to complete replacements and design. Having an Industrial Sewing Machines meant we could sew almost anything, and as the word went round we found ourselves sewing all sorts of things from lorry straps, tarpaulins, canvas covers, tents, basically anything that was ripped that could not get sewn via your usual domestic machine, we was sewing, either making new things or repairing the old ones! Then another change happened. We moved everything to the South Coast in Dorset. A huge upheaval. We needed to adapt the business even further. Living by the sea, it was obvious we needed to repair and replace boat covers and canopies. And as Poole Harbour was the host for a Tuesday evening bike night on summer evenings, we found our services being needed here too, to repair and replace motorbike seats.
